TORQUE TOOL TRAINIG

Winshaw hydraulic Tools is aligned with Hi-Force hydraulic Tools in its intent to standardize torque and tension hydraulic tool training and accreditation for bolting professionals. Hi Force is approved by the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) for the provision of Mechanical joint integrity training courses in line with industry standards and practices. The MJI torque tool training and tensioner training course offered are available as the following modules:

  • MJI10 Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques.
  • MJI18 Hydraulically Tensioned Bolted Connection Techniques.
  • MJI19 Hydraulically Torqued Bolted Connection Techniques.

INTRODUCTION TO HYDRAULICS

A hydraulic cylinder is simple piece of equipment, but it is capable of generating huge forces to lift or move heavy loads. Output force (capacity) is determined by only two elements:

      1. Working pressure (i.e. PSI)
      2. Effective area

Additionally, hydraulic tools, like the ones in this website, all work on the principle of the simple cylinder. Whether it is a small “ram”, nut splitter, flange spreader, tensioner or hydraulic torque wrench they all use this same principle.

Through this training, we will introduce you to these concepts and provide you with a practical, hands-on demonstration of these systems.
